Liverpool apologize..... maybe when hell freezes over Rio

Rio Ferdinand is waiting for Liverpool to apologise over the Suarez T-Shirts. He said after Carragher gave a limp apology through gritted teeth earlier this week. Rio said:

“That’s eight years late, eight years late,” said Ferdinand on BT Sport. “Testament to Jamie Carragher for apologising, eight years after the incident.

“I was there on the pitch. At the end of the day, it’s bigger than Jamie Carragher, it’s the club.

“Liverpool let themselves down that day, wearing t-shirts in support of someone who’s been accused of a racist comment.

“Yet, eight years on and still the apology hasn’t come from Liverpool in that sense.”

All I can say is you will be waiting another 8 years before the grief merchants even think they did anything remotely wrong. As they said at the time in veiled racist accusation against Evra. "We only have his word that Luis said anything racists". Because black people don't tell the truth do they?

Evra admitted lying about it. It is him and Man U who should be apologising. He knew that what Suarez said wasn’t racist so he lied and said that Suarez had called him the dog from Dambusters. All this is in the official report along with Evra rolling back on the original lie.

Hermit. Just read the official report and unless you're being sarcastic. This is a very brief excerpt

Mr Evra said that he followed up Mr Suárez's reply "Because you are black" by saying "Habla otra vez asi, te voy a dar una porrada", which means "Say it to me again, I'm going to punch you". Mr Suárez replied by saying "No hablo con los negros". Mr Evra said that, at the time, he understood this to mean "I don't speak to niggers", although he now says it means "I don't speak to blacks".

we only have his word, but i believe Evra.

Liverpool's reaction was poor, but i expect nothing else from them.

Boleyn. Read through what you posted again in the knowledge that Evra was fluent in Spanish and absolutely knew that Suarez hadn't called him what he said hed called him at first.

It's a common South American phrase that Evra knew didnt mean what he said it meant, that's why he rolled back on it.

Not that he even said that, he said negrito. Nothing wrong with that and Evra knew it.

Also, even if Suarez had said what Evra at first lied about, by Evras admission, hed called his sister something worse first. How the fuck is Suazrez the bad one here.

I’m still waiting for Liverpool to apologise to all the English clubs deprived of European football because they murdered Juventus fans at Heysel.

And for cheating in the 2006 FA Cup final after we put the ball out for their injured player.

My estimate is about 800 years on those

Trundle. Its 2019. He has to apologise if he wants to keep a job in the UK media.

Either way, what Suarez said was not racist and even if it was, what Evra did to start it all was much worse. Called his sister a whore or something similar.

Yes.

And it definitely doesnt mean what Evra claimed it did, importantly, Evra knew that too as a spanish speaker who played with plenty of S Americans.

Did Carragher bring it up of his own accord because Evra was on MNF or was he asked about the incident and then responded?

"I don't speak to blacks" is still a racist comment, even if one of the individual words is politer than its alternative.

Theres no evidence he siad "I dont speak to blacks" except for the word of one man who had already lied and originally claimed he said something different.
